Description : | It is a travel trunk that is painted black. There are leather decorative straps wrapped around the trunk and those are a natural brown colour. There is a name plate on the front of the trunk and rivets keeping the joints in place. There are metal hinges on the back of the trunk. |
Fonctions : | This travel trunk and clothes belonged to 22 year old Mildred (Coombs) Rodway. Her and her husband, Moses Rodway were travelling by train from St John's to Port Aux Basques to go to Nova Scotia for their honeymoon. Just outside of Glenwood, there was a train accident and the couple perished. |
