Description : It is a black and white photograph of the front of a train with a plow fastened to it. There is a group of people standing in front of the train and there is snow covering the plow.
Commentaires : One of the first and most common snow plows was the wedge plow. This type of plow used a simple wedge design eventually made out of iron or steel. One of the most common wedge plows began manufacture after World War I. Wedge plows required being pushed by a locomotive and could not propel themselves. The top of the plow would have a small indent leaving room above the wedge for a spotter to direct the locomotive.
