Description : The black body of the hyfrecator has a dial on it and two cords coming from it. One cord plugs into an electrical outlet while the other has a footswitch at the end. The body has a row of four small holes. One hole has white dot above it, one has a red dot, and two have green dots. The cord that attaches to the handheld end piece plugs into any of these holes. The end piece can be stored in metal clips on the right side of the machine.
Commentaires : The hyfrecator was, and still is, used by physicians in a variety of procedures, particularly minor, in-office procedures. The hyfrecator emits electrical impulses to the affected area of the patient, and was used for everything from dermatology to gynecology to oral surgery. One of its main functions was cauterizing blood vessels during surgery. It was also used for destroying abnormal tissue, which was useful for treating a variety of lesions, cysts and warts. The hyfrecator has been the standard electrocoagulation device in the medical industry for more than fifty years.
Fonctions : This hyfrecator was used by Sven Budwill to provide demonstrations for engineering students.
