Commentaires : Miss Ellis became a teacher and retired in 1965. She taught her entire career at Bathurst High School and received special recognition for being the only teacher to have taught for that length of time at the same school. Sufficient qualified teachers could not be found for the following year and she was asked to teach for an additional year. (Obituary Times and Transcript - December 9, 2005). The Gloucester Chapter IODE and the New Brunswick Society of Retired Teachers-Bathurst Branch each named yearly scholarships in Miss Ellis' honor.
Fonctions : This copy book was used by Edna V. (Tedda) Ellis (1905-2005) to practice penmanship. She started the first page on September 3, 1918. She would have been 13 years old at the time. She completed all of the pages.
