| Description : | The object is a large saw that is held together by two wooden handles. The teeth of the saw follow a particular pattern two and fro along the linear portion of the object. The handle of the object is fastened to the blade rack by a metal support structure. The blade portion of the object is curved convexly. |
| Commentaires : | This object came from the tool collection of Mert Carroll, who worked on Beaubears Island during the late 19C on shipbuilding, carpentry, and logging. |
| Fonctions : | The object was used to cut down trees for the lumbering or logging process. The object could also have been used to reduce the size of wooden logs to a desired length. |
