| Description : | Beach rock pins on pocket, open front, pieced multi-coloured lining of assorted fabrics knit trim. |
| Commentaires : | This piece combines a high degree of aesthetic sensibility with superb craftsmanship in an evocative, rather than liberal treatment of the theme. There is visual interest in every detail: in colour, in woven and felted textures and shapes, in the lining, and in the finishing. The outside of the of the fabric consists of subtle and subdued colours, and bright colours for the lining. The addition of beach pebbles provided the original inspiration for the colour scheme. |
