Description : | A tin teapot and its lid. Lid has a black knob. Pot has a darker grey plastic handle clearly affixed to the pot. Lid has 'Leo Gavireau' etched in cursive. |
Fonctions : | Teapots came to Europe through China and Japan and were popularized in the 17th century when tea was being widely exported. These teapots were frequently porcelain, as it could withstand export travels. Europeans slightly altered the designs by making them larger with curled spouts, and the overall design has not changed much since then. |
