| Description: | A long white veil to go with a matching wedding dress. It is attached to the head via a crown with white flowers sewn into the tulle body on a brown stick. The tulle body has a decorative lace edge as well as 4 satin bows - one on the back of the head and 3 on the bottom. |
| Narrative: | Worn in a wedding ceremony by the donor's mother in 1944. |
| History of Use: | Veils used to be more ornate before the 30s, using more fabric and covering the forehead. However, in the 30s and 40s they became more simple like this one due to a shortage of fabric during the war. |
