| Fonctions : | From the start of time people have been using things to decorate their home. However, it wasn't until the 18th century that luxury and ornate decor items became available for use in everyone's home. In the 19th century these items became mass produced, and therefore were even easier to obtain. Often, decorations were used to mark class distinctions and showcase the home owner's wealth. |
