Description : Iron tobacco cutter on wooden base. Imp-like figure sits above blade on handle and thumbs his nose. Round headed screws hold cutter to base. Tobacco leaf design found on the curved handle which is affixed to cutter with a nut and bolt. Cutter is a 4" blade. No. on the bottom
Commentaires : Later models of this type of tobacco cutter had "Brighton #3" cast on the side to represent the maker. Earlier models had a curved tobacco leaf in place of the cast writing. This type of tobacco cutter was affixed to a tobacco shop's countertop.
Fonctions : Donated by Mr. J. Allen Harrison in the 1970s and accessioned in 1974.
