| Description : | The bowl is made of Carnival glass which is a pumpkin marigold color. There is a raised decoration of hearts and vines pattern over the body of the piece. The edges of the bowl flare outwards in an irregular pattern. The rim of the bowl is made of raised pieces, giving the rim of the bowl a cabled appearance. |
| Commentaires : | Carnival glass is an inexpensive pressed glass, made as functional and ornamental objects, always iridescent and found in a wide spectrum of colors. It was produced in Britain, Australia, and several European and Asian countries from the early 20th century until present. The glass gets its iridescent sheen from the application of metallic salts while the glass is still hot from the pressing, then re-firing the glass. |
