Description : | The boat is a replica of a Yankee dory. The exterior of the dory has been painted(from top to bottom) yellow with a small section of green trim near the top of the dory. The interior of the dory is painted entirely yellow. The dory has two oar locks on either side of the boat located approximately in the centre of the boat. Two paddles lay on the floor of the boat and a yellow throw line is coiled on the floor of the boat near the bow. There are four seats located vertically in the boat. |
Commentaires : | This is a model of a 13 foot cross- handed or single man American type fishing row dory is patterned after the dories built by Nathan Lowell and Sons in the town of Amesbury, Massachusette, U.S.A. Several American skippers favoured these small dories for certain types of fishing. American fishermen striped their tauts in the center using white or pale grey paint. |
