| Description : | A hand-coloured steel engraving. The picture is of three women. The first (girl) is in a white dress and a brown and white shawl, blue, black an dwhite bonnet and blue shoes and is standing. The 2nd lady is also standing, wearing a green and white dress with a white bonnet and is holding the hand of the 3rd lady. The third is sitting and wears a white dress with a blue bow, blue and white armchair and the pillow on which her feet are resting are brown. 'A coudouze', 'T. Dejardins' and '25 Aout 1855' are written in black along the bottom of the picture. Below thi sis the title in block lettering, 'MAGASIN DES DEMOISELLES'. Below this are three lines of french writing and a fourth line says 'Bureaux du Journal, 51 rue Laffitte' in printing. The frame is brown. The back is covered with brown paper, there are 2 metal rings holding a length of metal wire to hang up the picture. Length 32.0 cm and width 23.2 cm. Ph1 2006 |
