| Description : | This image is in a softwood frame with a reverse ogee astragal, and bead molding. The members are 6.7cm in width, and have been finished in black enamel. There are five wooden slats held in place with square brads. The stone lithograph is entitled. 'EASTWARD HO!', and directly below this is 'GEN OSTEN'. In the left bottom corner is, 'J. PHILLIPS 173 CITY ROAD, LONDON'. The print illustrates soldiers leaning over the side of the ship saying goodbye to their wives and children, who are walking down the ship's stairs. The frame has nicks,and scratches, and the corners are separating. The print is stained from both acid, and water. |
