| Description : | A circular dark green tinted soda-lime (soda) turn mould (moulded glassware) beer bottle. The undersurface of the artifact's base exhibits a circular shaped flat indentation basal profile, upon which appear two concentric circles. From the rounded heel, the body portion of the artifact rises vertically to a champagne shoulder form. From here in turn a tapered neck extends upward to a one-part finish that has a circular bore. Affixed to the body area of the item is an oval light brown coloured paper label, upon which 'GUINESS EXTRA STOUT' and 'JAMES'S GATE DUBLIN' both appear in black print lettering. In addition, suplemental information appears in both black and red print lettering. Finally, there is a black line representation of a harp. Note: Colouration is due to the presence of either copper, copper oxides, chromium or iron in the silicate.PH1 2006 |
