| Description : | A circular green tinted soda-lime (soda) glass turn mould (moulded glassware) beer bottle. The undersurface of the artifact's base exhibits a dome basal profile. From the rounded heel, the body area rises vertically to a rounded shoulder form. From here a bulged neck-finish area extends upward to a two-part finish that in turn has a circular bore. Attached to the body area of the item are two paper labels. One of these exhibits multi-coloured images and lettering, while the second exhibits information in black print lettering and a dark green coloured border. Finally, there is a roughly rectangularly shaped red and white paper label which has been affixed to the neck-finish area. Note: Green colouration is due to the presence of either copper, copper oxide, chromium or iron in the silicate.PH1 2006 |
