Description : A Waterbury wall clock, octagon shaped with a pentangle shaped bottom section. Purchased from Bill Hong.Manufactured by Waterbury Clock Co. Waterbury, Conn. This clock can be set backward at will without injury. It can be made to strike to correspond with the position of the hands, by carring the minute hand forward to the figure II, then backward to the figure VIII and back and forth between these figures until the right hour is struck always waiting for the Clock to strike when the minute hand comes to the Figure XII., inscription, Inside the pendulum door.PH1 2006 Ph2 2007 (A) is the clock itself, (B) is the coiled piece of metal that is struck to produce the chime, (C) is a gear, (D) is a piece of wire with one end flattened and the other bent into a hook, and (E - J) are small round headed nails. John Gall, who repaired the clock, discovered an inscription underneath the dial. A name is stamped 'Nicholson, Wells' and the handwritten date: 'April 1934'. PH3 2008 (K) is a piece of the pendulum that has been replaced, a long wire with a crooked end.
