A factory made, medium stained, 'combination dresser and stand' or 'hotel washstand', as described in Woodwards catalogue 1912 and Sears 1908, respectively . In very poor condition the top surface is bowed (due to moisture?) causing the left hand side of the washstand to break apart. It has one large upper drawer with two brass pull handles (b). Below on the left are two smaller stacked drawers (c, d) each with a handle, the lower missing the brass plate. On the right is a broken cabinet with a round handle. There is carving on the top drawer and cabinet door. There is a panel missing from the back. '388' stamped on the back. Mirror with towel rack (e) matched to chest of drawers on 97/08/15.PH1 2006
