| Description : | A clay crucible used in assaying. The object is cylindrical in shape which tapers slightly toward the base so that the base diameter is smaller than the top diameter. There is one bend in the top rim to create a pouring spout. There is a portion of the rim missing. Engaved in the base is 'JOS, DIXON' and the number '8'. There is a paper tag inside the object that reads 'From 074 B'ville Hotel'. PH3 2008 |
