WILLIAMS: THIS GUN WAS PURCHASED FOR WILLIAM MULLETT OF BRISTOL, ENGLAND FOR 10.00 POUNDS WHEN HIS WIFE MARY CLOTHIER AND THEIR ELEVEN CHILDREN SAILED FOR CANADA ON THE BRIG "FRIENDS" ON 25 APRIL 1821. THEY ARRIVED IN CANADA ON 3 JULY 1821 AND SETTLED NORTH OF KINGSTON IN THE ADOLPHUSTOWN AREA. THE GUN WAS PASSED DOWN TO THE FIFTH CHILD, DEBORAH MULLETT, AND HER HUSBAND, CONSIDER MERRITT HAIGHT, IN 1828. THEY SETTLED ON A FARM NEAR FREDERICKSBURGH. CONSIDER CONVERTED THE GUN AND USED IT FOR HUNTING. THE ELDEST HAIGHT CHILD,ELIZABETH CADMAN INHERITED THE GUN. M. Y. WILLIAMS OBTAINED THE GUN FROM HER
