Description : Made from soft unsmoked buckskin, coloured brown, four long pointed ears at top, blue and red beaded embroidery on edges. Light blue strip down either side with dark blue dots set in. Beaded panel at bottom, 16.0 cm X 12.5 cm high, one side of bag has a white border, then a thin dark blue line inside which is a light blue background with a single stylized geometrical design in the middle in dark blue, red, yellow and medium blue. Other side has a light blue border, a white background with two green, red and light red geometrical designs set in. Quilled panel consists of long rawhide strips wrapped with quills, design the same both sides, orange background with four light purple, yellow and green squares. Panel is 16 cm, square, 23 cm long buckskin fringe at bottom, coloured brown.

Signification iconographique : Narrative: Although this pipe bag is Blackfoot-style, it has Peigan-like work and was probably a Society piece and worn at important ceremonies. Per the Blackfoot Elders' Report 1985/1986. Also, see binder.
