| Description : | Woman's dress made from unsmoked buckskin, short sleeved, buckskin fringe at sleeve ends and around hem. Strip of gold coloured basket beads across shoulders and around neck. Curving wide band across bodice, front and back, consists of a yellow stripe in center with a stripe of green top and bottom. Bodice above this band is coloured yellow. Row of paired buckskin tassels, along bottom edge of band with a single cowrie shell at top of each pair and a few green and red basket beads on each thong. Two beaded circles in black, yellow, green and red on front only. Two fringed, buckskin rosettes, on front only, with two buckskin tassels from center, each with a blue bead at top and a few basket beads on each thong. Two rows of tassels, paired, around skirt. Red beads. LEVEL 6:in the early 1950's |
