IN THE MIDDLE, TWO GROUPS OF FIGURES ON TWO HILLS (OR INSIDE TWO ENCLOSURES) ARE BEING ASSAULTED BY A LARGE GROUP OF FIGURES AT BOTTOM. FIGURES IN MIDDLE AND AT BOTTOM CARRY GUNS. |
| Commentaires : | NARRATIVE: ACCORDING TO MR. TERASAKI THIS PICTOGRAPH OUTLINES THE WAR RECORD OF A SUB-CHIEF OF THE PEIGAN BLACKFOOT, EAGLE PLUME. Narrative: This is an old piece that is painted in the Blackfoot style using black, blue and red colours. The ochre is from the earth and bone was used for painting. Per the Blackfoot Elders' Report 1985/1986. Also, see binder. According to Hugh Dempsey, this pictograph depicts the war exploits of Wolf Plume whose signature is seen in the small symbols at the top left of the pictograph. |
