Commentaires : | This machine, model number H1367959 was manufactured in St. John's Newfoundland in June of 1907. The original owner, Ethel Gordon of Jewett's Mills, New Brunswick, was the great aunt of Albert Gordon. She gave the machine to Albert's wife Dawna, who had a young family and a need for it. |
Fonctions : | Treadle machines were in use in this rural area well after WWII, as electricity was not available to all households until the mid 1950's. The machine is still in working order. |
