Description : | A large muff made from ermine fur with cream satin ruffles edging the openings. On one side of the opening is a round cream hard rubber ring attached to the muff by a cream satin string. *The collar is not present. |
Fonctions : | The muff was donated by Albert Taylor, who is the son of Isaac Taylor, co-founder of the Yukon firm Taylor and Drury. The muff was worn by Albert's mother, Sarah and his sister, Florence. Ermine was quite fashionable in the Yukon during the 1920s. Sarah Taylor wore them as accessories on special occasions. After the death of Sarah Taylor, the furs were given to Florence, who was then living in England. |
