Nom de l'objet : Stole
Numéro d'accession : 1982.144.6.2
Description : An ermine stole with a slot on one side allowing the other side to be fed through as a form of closure. There are accents of brown fur tassels in sets of two spanning the stole. It is lined in a creamy-coloured satin with ruffled edging.
Fonctions : The stole was donated by Albert Taylor, who is the son of Isaac Taylor, co-founder of the Yukon firm Taylor and Drury. The stole was worn by Albert's mother, Sarah and his sister, Florence. Ermine was quite fashionable in the Yukon during the 1920s. Sarah Taylor wore them as accessories on special occasions. After the death of Sarah Taylor, the furs were given to Florence, who was then living in England.
