Description : | An ermine fur collar shaped in a semi-circle with each end having three brown fur tassels. The back of the collar is lined with cream-coloured satin; ruffled at the edges. |
Fonctions : | The collar was donated by Albert Taylor, who is the son of Isaac Taylor, co-founder of the Yukon firm Taylor and Drury. The collar was worn by Albert's mother, Sarah and his sister, Florence. Ermine was quite fashionable in the Yukon during the 1920s. Sarah Taylor wore them as accessories on special occasions. After the death of Sarah Taylor, the furs were given to Florence, who was then living in England. |
