Description : | buggy is partly disassembled, wheels are meant to turn on steel axles (2.5 cm diameter), these axles support the body with elliptical leaf springs, body is box-like (142 cm long, 18 cm high, 56 cm wide), curving down from either side of the box is an iron foot rest, behind this foot is an iron bracket that may have been used to secure a top over the buggy, centred on the body sides are wooden boards with concave step down ends, that support the seat, seat: bottom of the seat is a flat piece of wood on top of which is a cushion approx 10 cm thick, this cushion is upholstered with leather and buttoned, backrest and arms: are supported by 26 slats 20 cm long, backrest has been covered similarly to the seat, curved brass rod brackets run from the top of the arms to the backrest, at the box front is a board extending upwards 29 cm, this is pierced at the upper corners by rectangular holes, this is completely covered in leather, and is supported by iron brackets at its bottom corners |
