| Description : | the chest of drawers, is tongue and groove on the back, several of the slabs of wood which form the back are missing, the ends are nailed to the top, the top rests or is set in on the sides of the chest, six vertical pieces of wood divide or frame the drawers, these 6 pieces are set into the top, 1.5 cm wide, 14 cm long, five horizontal pieces of wood 1.5 cm wide frame the drawers, in between these 5 horizontal pieces are the 6 vertical pieces, there are 35 drawer frames and 33 drawers, each drawer is identical, 15.2 long, 13.3 cm wide, the knob has been screwed on, the knob is mushroom-like with a white coating which conceals the metal, on each drawer there is a differnt numbering which perhaps acted as a filing system to divide different sizes of nails, bolts, etc |
