White Company started as a tooth factory in Philadelphia with a work force of only three. Located in the upstairs of a home, Samuel practiced dentistry downstairs. Samuel Stockton White's tooth factory became, over the decades, the largest dental manufacturing company in the world- with sales offices in New York, Boston and Chicago; and catalogues in Spanish, French and German.
