Description : One of ten arrows of similar shafts and notches, round, bowstring ends. Slits on sides of thin leaf type feathers. One arrow has only a painted wooden tip with metal band coiled around neck. Four arrows have metal-tipped, diamond-shhaped heads with wings of various widths, lengths and angles - two have barbs on stem. Two arrows have exaggerated wings (almost oblong in shape) one with a thick stem; One arrow tip comes to a scraper point and with two barbs on ennd - each side of stem. Fourteen wooden arrow-shafts with same design as abovee. One has no metal head (broken off ?), four arrows with blades - one with meetal coiled around neck of shaft. Eight arrows with spear head type blades - aassorted sizes and shapes. One arrow with elongated diamond type blade and lonng neck.
Fonctions : Acc. book:Poisoned arrows - heads dipped in poison which gathers in nitches cuut in the iron. Used with small bow for wars by the Pygmies who originated theem. Native copy of Pygmy war arrows, also used by natives for hunting.
