Commentaires : This sculpture depicts the eastern Arctic style of kayak with the equipment needed to hunt marine animals, such as seals, narwhal, and birds. The harpoon rests on the right side of the kayak ready to be thrown. The harpoon-line rack is secured in front of the paddler, and the sealskin float that is attached to the harpoon head rests behind the cockpit. The bird spear lies on the left side of the bow, the lance and gaff rest on the stern.";
