| Commentaires : | Although the birdspear was primarily a weapon for waterfowl and sea birds, it was also used to capture small seals. To throw the spear the butt end was placed along the channel of the throwing board and held in place by the thumb. With the increased thrust created by the throwing board the spear could be accurately thrown over 30 metres. "; |
