| Commentaires : | This picture started out as an ordinary scene I came across travelling down highway 69 between Gravenhurst and Parry Sound. While working on the green and dry trees standing in the water hole I was reminded of the passage in Scripture where Christ is being led to execution and seeing some women weeping said "Weep not for Me but for yourselves and your children. For if the green woods they do these things what shall not be done in the dry?" I have thus depicted our Lord in the forest with His pierced hands held out for us to see.' -William Kurelek, 1966. |
