Résumé
Storage conditions often prevent cultural heritage institutions worldwide from making their collections accessible to staff and by the public. RE-ORG is a methodology developed by ICCROM and UNESCO to address this challenge. The Canadian Conservation Institute, Canada, the Central Institute for Conservation in Belgrade, Serbia, and the Royal Institute for Cultural Heritage, Belgium each launched programs to strengthen capacity in storage reorganization in their respective contexts using the RE-ORG methodology, focusing primarily on informal learning. Participants and coordinators alike were challenged by this non-traditional model. The positive results obtained so far make this approach appealing for subject matters where the development of specific skills such as project management, critical thinking, and leadership is desirable.
