- Book is presented in two parts. Part I deals with the analysis of fundamental scientific principles involved in corrosion inhibition science and covers the basics as well as other topics such as passivity induced by inhibitors and localized corrosion and cracking problems. Part II deals with the use and characteristics of practical inhibitors in various industries such as oilfield and refinery equipment, cleaning systems and finished products, open and closed recirculating cooling water systems, and concrete. Volatile and slow released inhibitors and pigment-type inhibitor additives to paint systems are also reviewed.
