Résumé
Study based on the articles stemmming from research performed by the Canadian Conservation Institute in 1984, where the researchers tested solutions of polyethylene / polypropelene glycol resins containing corrosion inhibitors to examine the effects on various metals embedded in wood. This study focused on the effect these resins had on the dimensional stability, PH, colour and stiffness of the treated wood. Metal coupons were added to the samples for a qualitative evaluation of corrosion after treatment. Only six resins were availabe: Acrysol G110, Ethomeen S/25, Witcamine Rad-1100, Pluracol 824 and PEG 400/ Hostacor KSI.
