- Cotton, polyester, silk and wool fabrics were inoculated (@ 24.5 C) with two common indoor fungi, Stachybotrys chartarum and Aspergillus versicolor to evaluate the effectiveness of four (4) cleaning methods (i.e., perchloroethylene, petroleum distillates, laundry and laundry with bleach). The cleaning methods were evaluated based on the amount of remaining fungal growth and the residual mycotoxin concentration.
