- The purpose of this paper is to facilitate access to a body of information on the "protection of moveable cultural properties" from fire and its consequences.
- A great deal of useful information already exists on various aspects of the problem. The purpose, here, is not, therefore, to add to the volume of that information, but rather to provide the user with an easy means of locating information on a particular aspect of the problem within the mass of available information.
- This "finding aid" is designed for use by the widest possible cross-section of interested parties; for example, museum administrators, curators and trustees; security, maitenance and housekeeping staff; and programmers, architects and building technologists.
