- Résumé
- Ours for keeps, has one major objective: to give hints, ideas and inspiration to individuals and organisations on how to communicate and promote the importance of caring for our heritage. It is a pack with a difference, having been written not by one author but by over fifty curators, conservators, heritage professionals, trainers, designers and public relations experts, all contributing to the pack by writing on an aspect of their work which will help others to share in their individual expertise and experience. Using a mix of articles and case studies, the pack illustrates how awareness of conservation and collection care can be raised in many different ways and at all levels through: the planning and funding process; core museum activities such as displays, exhibitions and storage; training activities and working with volunteers; special events, making presentations and dealing with the media; educational and outreach events for both adults and children.
