Résumé
This paper explores the "human" aspect of historic house interpretation and the difficulties inherent in the recounting of a person's life. It discusses how museum professionals prevent themselves from succumbing to the temptation to romanticize the lives of great men and women, and how can they make them "human' to the visitor. It also provides a framework by which to examine the biographical and museum interpretations of Montgomery's life
