- "Three hundred twelve (312) colored pencils were provided from each of six manufacturers representing the most widely used brands marketed as fin art materials. The pencils were blinded (stripped of identifying commercial information, coded, and sent to the Principal Investigator (PI) by Joy Turner Luke and Rhonda Farfan, who assigned codes to the test pencils: LB 01-52, LA 53-104, RC 106-157, RD 158-209, RE 210-261, and RF 262-313."
