Résumé
In this research report two sociological theories of professionalism, the trait and power approaches, are used to examine the drive for professional status undertaken generally, by museum workers, and specifically, by curators at the Royal Ontario Museum. The focus is on the social context that shapes and frames the professionalization efforts of curators in the museum context.
