- The monograph reviews the types of dressings that are currently in use by book conservators and bookbinders, such as Klucel G (a hydroxy propyl cellulose), SC6000 (an acrylic wax mixture) and Marney's Conservation Dressing (a solvent-Free mixture of oils and waxes). The materials used in the trial are a combination of those in current usage and a variety of coatings used as finishes in the shoe and leather industries.
