Notes
[Abstract] In 2018, a delta winged object was recovered from Lake Ontario, under archaeological licence, by the OEX Recovery Group Incorporated. It was hoped that this was one of nine 1/8th scale Avro Arrow free flight models launched from the Point Petre CARDE firing range in Prince Edward County between 1954 and 1957 and thought to be resting on the lake bed amid boosters and other vehicles. This object was provisionally identified as a Delta Test Vehicle. This paper details the process of recovering, conserving, and understanding the significance of the Delta Test Vehicle (DTV) and what it could mean for aviation heritage in Canada.
