Résumé
Musical instruments found in Canadian collections tend to be younger and more functional than those found in European collections. In addition, there are few specialist musical instrument conservators in Canada. This presents the Canadian owners of collections with special problems about which advice is given. It is suggested that making playable copies of the instruments is more to be recommended than any sort of restoration to playability.
