Products of corrosion on iron of basque origin: oxides and oxyhydroxides, chlorides. Negative charge of oxyhydroxide colloids at basic ph suggests that treatment with amines, positive at high ph, may remove corrosion product. Experiment by refluxing with amine at 70 to 90 centigrades show extraction of water and chlorides.
