Description: | Five test tubes of varying sizes (A-E). The test tubes nest together and are stored in a cylinder shaped cardboard tube (F). |
History of Use: | This item was originally used in the Science Building of the Provincial Normal school, later the Provincial Normal College and the Nova Scotia Normal College. The Science building is now the Colchester Historical Museum. When PNC closed in 1961, the equipment from the science building was moved to the Nova Scotia Teachers College at the corner of Arthur and Kaulback Streets. There they remained until the NSTC closed in 1997. At that time the items became part of the Little White Schoolhouse Museum collection and entrusted into the care of Harold Stewart, Biology professor NSTC 1967-1994. |
