History of Use: | It is thought that Nick Carter (deceased) donated these items. John Doane sold the Jewellery Shop to Nick Carter in approx. 1963 - including the shop and its contents. Chalmers Doane visited the museum on June 2, 2015 and identified objects and their usage. Chalmers is John's son and worked in the shop for two years (1958-1960) and in his spare time at other times - learning the trade Chalmers was the director Truro Concert Band. He was high up in the music world. |
