Description: RETORT OAK; Door (ash pan) only. Located near the bottom front of the stove 985.02.01. Contains air vents 9895.02.- .09. and a smaller air vent door. The lower part of the door is rectangular in shape. The upper is semi-circular. The upper section of the door consists mainly of another door, which is an air vent door. It is hinged on the right side and has a handle on the left side. It is embossed with two vertial bands each containing three dots. The area between the bands is an unornate convexly rounded band flanked on each side by an embossed line. 'SD5' is embossed on the inside of this door. A band 2.0cm wide between the upper and lower sections of the door is embossed with a dot on either end flanked by a vertical bar on either side and two dots in the middle, with a vertical band on either side of the two dots. The lower sectiopn of the door has two horizontal protrusions on the right side. A conical protrusion sits on each of the horizontal protrusions. A shaft in each cone forms half of the door hinge. A nickle plated handle is located on the left side of the door. Two round nickle plated air vents (985.02.09. -.10.) are located over two round holes in this part of the door. A cross piece in the hole has an eyehole into which the air vent is screwed. A design is embossed between the air vents. It consists of a diagonal line with a short diagonal bar across its middle and 3 curled leaves across the top and bottom. Either side of the door is embossed with a curlicue with three leaves alon the lower side of the stem of the curlicue. A split curlicue with three lobes on one curlicue and three on the other project downward from the centre of the split curlicue. 'A4' and '18' are imprinted on the inside of the door.; Metal, Iron; width 19.2 cm; height 5.7 cm; length 43.2 cm
